               1. A motorcycle moves by 28 ms when it passes through the first lamp poles and 25s then
passes through the second pole. The distance between the two poles is 600 m. Calculate:

                          i. The movement is deceleration

ii. Motorcycle velocity when it passes through the pole.

                                                                                               -2
                                                                                                       -1
                                                                                                                                     (-0.32 ms , 20 ms )

               2. Two motorcycles, A and B, start from the rest position of the same place and follow the
                                                                                 -2
same path. Train A moves with a uniform acceleration of 0.74 ms followed by B with a
                                               -2
uniform acceleration of 1.2 ms , 7s later. When B car can catch a train, calculate:

                          i. How long has A car been running

ii. The distance traveled by the two cars.

                                                                                                                                        (32.6 s, 393.22 m)

               3. One particle is thrown vertical upward from the top of a building 85 m high with velocity
                           -1
                    of 30 ms . Calculate:

                          i. Its velocity when it reaches the surface of the earth.

ii. The time taken since it was thrown until it reached the surface of the earth.

                                                                                                -1
                                                                                                                                      (50.67 ms , 8.22 s)

               4. The distance between x and y is 6.4 km. A motorcycle rider starts from rest from x with a
uniform acceleration of 24 s, then moves with uniform velocity before it is uniformly
deceleration and stops at y in the last 10 s of the journey. If the total time taken is 6.5
                   minutes, find out:

                                                                    -1
                          i. The uniform velocity of the motorcycle in kmj .

ii. The motorcycle acceleration is in ms -2

                                                             -2
iii. The motorcycle deceleration is in ms .

iv. The distance traveled in the first 2 minutes of the travel.

                                                                                            -2
