The resultant force can be then formed by adding the resultants of x and y components using the

               parallelogram law. Figure 2.17 below show the example of the process.

               Generally, the x and y components of resultant of any number of coplanar forces can be

               represented by the algebraic sum of x and y component of all forces.

               Theorem.
