Uniform speed - a body through the same distance in the same time.
Displacement - distance taken by a body from one point to another. If a body starts from point A
and ends at point A again, then its displacement is empty. One vector quantity . His unit: meters
(m)
Distance - The total length of the path traveled by a body.
Velocity - the rate of change of displacement with respect to time in one particular direction. One
vector quantity.
velocity = displacement / time
= −1 ∶
Acceleration - the rate of changing of velocity with respect to time,
-2
Acceleration = (changing of velocity) / time ms : unit
-2
a = (v-u) / t ms : unit
If the velocity increases, the acceleration is positive but if the velocity decreases, the acceleration
is negative (deceleration / retardation).
