CHAPTER 6

                                              KINETICS OF PARTICLES

               6.1 Force ,Mass And Acceleration
Definition- kinetics is based on kinematic and it include the effect of forces on mass

or the study of the relations between unbalanced forced and the resulting changes in motion.

6.1.1 Newton Second Law Of Motion (Force ,Mass And Acceleration)

                                                                            2
               F=ma,  where F-force (N) , m=mass (kg) , a = acceleration (m/s )
A particle with a force acting on it has an acceleration propotional to the magnitude of the force

and in the direction of that force

Mass-The quantity of matter a body contains. Measured in kilograms (kg)

               Force (F):

A situation that resulted in the movement of a body at rest or in uniform motion. Newton (N) unit

               Mass (m):

The quantity of matter contained by a body. Kg unit

               Weight (W):

                                                                      -2
The measures of the gravity on the mass of a body. kgm or Newton unit

               6.2 Work and Power

               6.2.1 Work
When a force acts on the body, causing the body moves or displacement, the
work has been done by the force on the body.
               Consider the figure below:

               F N

                                        S m

                                      figure 6.2.1
