b. Life insurers

Life insurers are corporate bodies regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia for the purpose

of providing life insurance business. Currently, there are ten life insurers in Malaysia.

c. General insurers
General insurers are corporate bodies regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia for the

purpose of providing general insurance business. At present there are 19 general

insurers in Malaysia.

So, from discussion above we can summarize the marketing and sales are important

to make available the right product for the right market segment at the right time, to

meet the company's sales and profitability objectives.
