                7.3.1 DESCRIBE THE DIRECT AND INDIRECT DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS USED IN MHI


               The distribution channels used by insurers in the sale of PMI products are mainly:

                  i.   Direct  Distribution  Channels-  the  insurer  is  in  control  of  all  marketing  activities

                       and connecting with the customer directly. For example:

                     Direct Sales Force


                     Advertising

                     Direct Mail


                     Telemarketing

                     Internet Sales


                     Worksite Marketing



                 ii.   Indirect  Distribution  Channels  -  the  insurer  is  in  control  of  all  marketing

                       activities and connecting with the customer indirectly. For example:


                     Agents


                     Brokers


                     Financial Advisers


                     Bancassurance




               7.4 FIGURE OUT THE PRODUCT MARKETING

               Sales-orientated  companies'  place  much  emphasis  on  product  marketing  as  insurance
               is  all  about  products  and  services.  The  role  of  a  product  marketing  department  is  to

               manage the products and to achieve the maximization of sales.
