3) Each of the other consultants will work on their own design. Civil
and structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers,
and other specialists will make sure that the architectural design
is followed out.
4) All consultants, including the architect, will prepare a hardcopy
drawing and hand it over to the quantity surveyor, who will
update the cost plan and obtain budgetary approval from the
client. This could be different if a building information modelling
(BIM) system is implemented, in which all plans, drawings, and
requirements are coordinated online.
5) The tendering process will begin after all the necessary
coordination has been completed, the client's financial
provision has been established, design issues have been
resolved, and client requirements have been established. After
that, the quantity surveyor will prepare a complete set of tender
documents to ensure that the tendering process runs well. The
client's criteria for public sector tenders must be followed, as
well as any appropriate private sector practices. QS must
provide a tender evaluation report to suggest a suitable
contractor to the client. When one of the tenders is approved,
the pre-contract period will come to a close.
