3.4.2.5 Construction Management
• A Construction Manager is hired to advise the Client on a fee
basis under the Construction Management procurement route.
Instead of working with a single main contractor, the Employer
works individually with several specialists (as in Management
Contracting).
• This allows the client to be more involved in the project over
its entire life cycle. The client's lines of contact with the
specialist contractors carrying out the work packages are
shorter than with alternative systems, allowing for speedier
decision-making.
• The project structure is illustrated by Figure 3.4
