                      Referring to the process representation on the p-v diagram shown in Figure 3.2.2-5, it is

                      noted that heating increases the volume. In other words, the fluid expands. For a perfect

                      gas, equation 3.20 tells us that an increase in volume will result in corresponding increase

                      in temperature.
