6.0 TENDER REPORT AND ACCEPTANCE
6.1 Tender Report Preparation Process
❑ The tender will be returned to the office that called the tender
for examination and recommendation to the Procurement
Board after it has been opened and listed. The
recommendation is made through tender report which usually
prepared by consultant quantity surveyor.
❑ Tender recommendations will be sent to the Procurement
Board at the State or Headquarters level, or the Ministry of
Works, depending on the tender price or the office where the
tender was received (either at the Headquarters or at the
State level) and where the allocation is obtained.
❑ Tenders for works/projects shall be evaluated by one
Committee Member with a minimum of two officers. One of
the Committee's members must be a quantity surveyor or a
technical officer in a related field.
❑ The department shall prepare the assessment techniques
and criteria for tender evaluation for works/projects as the
foundation for evaluation by the Work Tender Evaluation
Committee. If a quantity surveyor has been hired as a
consultant for the work/project, this should be handled by
them.
