               6.0      TENDER REPORT AND ACCEPTANCE



               6.1      Tender Report Preparation Process



                        ❑     The tender will be returned to the office that called the tender
                              for  examination  and  recommendation  to  the  Procurement

                              Board  after  it  has  been  opened  and  listed.  The
                              recommendation is made through tender report which usually

                              prepared by consultant  quantity surveyor.

                        ❑     Tender  recommendations  will  be  sent  to  the  Procurement

                              Board at the State or Headquarters level, or the Ministry of
                              Works, depending on the tender price or the office where the

                              tender  was  received  (either  at  the  Headquarters  or  at  the

                              State level) and where the allocation is obtained.

                        ❑     Tenders  for  works/projects  shall  be  evaluated  by  one

                              Committee Member with a minimum of two officers. One of
                              the Committee's members must be a quantity surveyor or a

                              technical officer in a related field.

                        ❑     The  department  shall  prepare  the  assessment  techniques

                              and  criteria  for  tender  evaluation  for  works/projects  as  the
                              foundation  for  evaluation  by  the  Work  Tender  Evaluation

                              Committee.  If  a  quantity  surveyor  has  been  hired  as  a
                              consultant  for  the  work/project,  this  should  be  handled  by

                              them.
