❑ Amendments have been made to the Quantity Surveyors Act

and the Quantity Surveying Rules from time to time for further
improvement of the statutory provisions in regulating the

Quantity Surveying profession.

❑ Only appropriate competent individuals registered with the

Board are permitted to provide Quantity Surveying services,
to protect the public's interests. The Board also registers

corporations that provide consultancy Quantity Surveying
services in addition to sole proprietorships and partnerships.

The BQSM also investigates complaints against registered

quantity surveyors who have broken the code of professional
behavior outlined in the Quantity Surveying Rules, which are

published under Section 26 of the Quantity Surveyors Act

1967.
