❑ For an employer or client that has commissioned a major
building or engineering project, construction cost,
construction management, and construction communication
are all major issues. As a result, a Quantity Surveyor who is
professionally trained, qualified, and experienced in dealing
with these issues is required.
❑ A skilled Quantity Surveyor(s) will achieve their goals in a
variety of ways, mostly guided by their experience; however,
more tangible factors such as a well-chosen procurement
strategy, contract terms and conditions, and negotiation skills
also play a significant role.
❑ A quantity surveyor's job also entails managing the expenses
associated with construction projects. This could include new
construction, renovations, or routine maintenance.
❑ From early design expenses to final figures, quantity
surveyors strive to save project costs and increase value for
money while ensuring that the project meets all legal and
quality assurance criteria.
❑ Quantity surveyors are active in the construction process at
several phases, often prior to construction, during
construction, and after the project is completed.
