credit/debit/charge cards.
Their duties are:
i. To have regard to and act in conformity with the terms of any contract, any
applicable rule of law, judicial authority or statutory provision, the general
accepted principles of good banking practice for both Islamic and Conventional
and to have regard to any previous decision of any Mediator.
ii. In the light of (i) and (ii) to assess what solution would be fair and reasonable in
all the circumstances.
iii. To attend as required any meeting (or part) of Board to provide reports,
information and assistance.
iv. To provide each Board member a copy of his report for the period co-extensive
with the accounting financial year of the bureau and for the members.
v. To refer any question concerning a Syariah matter arises in the mediation to
the Syariah Advisory Council established under subsection 51(1) of the Central
Bank of Malaysia Act 2009.
