4.New brands
Create a new brand name and enters a new product category for which
none of the company’s current brand name are appropriate.
When a company launches products in a new category, it may find that
none of its current brand names are appropriate.
Example: Nestle introduce MILO for their beverage line and Maggi for
instant noddle
5.Co-brands
Co-branding is two or more well-known brands are combined in an offer.
Its using established brand names of two or more different companies
on the same product.
Each brand sponsor expects that the other brands will strengthen brand
preference or purchase intention.
Each brand hopes it might be reaching new audience by associating
with the other brand.
Example: Nike and Apple co-branded the Nike+iPod Sport Kit, which
lets runners link their Nike shoes with their iPod Nanos to track and
enhance running performance in real time.
