Many  student  are  often  confused  by  the  differences  between  the  sales  concepts  and

               marketing concepts.  The two concepts are differentin terms of a firm’s starting point,
               focus, means and end. Clearly, there are four areas where the selling concept and the

               maekting concept can be constrasted.

                   a.  Starting point – The sales-oriented company begins operations after the products
                       have been manufactured and focuses on the employees' ability to sell.

                   b.  Focus – refers to the kinds of needs that are being prioritized
                   c.  Means – The firm’s business means the nature of work the firm is involved in.
                   d.  Ends – The firm's goals are its objectives, or what it wants to accomplish.
