3.1 What Is Consumer Market?
A consumer market is one in which people buy things or services for their own use rather
than to sell. Consumer markets are generally made up of things that individuals use in
their daily lives.
Table 3.1:Definition of consumer market
Define Consumer Market
Any individual or household that uses goods and services
produced by the economy is referred to as a consumer.
A consumer is someone who buys products or services for
personal use or ownership rather than for resale or for use in
manufacturing or production.
Individuals who purchase goods and services for themselves
or their families are referred to as consumers.
They buy things to help them cope with the physical demands
of life, but they also use them to express their personalities,
expose their attitudes and beliefs, underline their values, and
demonstrate their money.
The products and services that are purchased
are not randomly chosen.
For Example:
Your father and you are both treated as consumers when your
father buys apples for you and consumes them.
