5.0 TENDER DOCUMENT
5.1 Tender Document and Tender Table Document
❑ A contractor's answer to an invitation to tender is referred to
as a tender. It provides a supply offer for goods or services.
Tender documents are being created in order to solicit offers.
5.2 Tender Document
❑ A Tender Document is a copy of the documents issued by the
client or consultant (on behalf of client) when he intends to
implement a project.
❑ Contractors interested in participating in the project must fill
out and return the tender documents within the specified time
frame.
❑ The following items should be included in the tender
document to make it easier for the contractor to view, check
the specifications, examine, and then fill it out. The following
are some of the general documents that must be included:
a) Tender advertisement/ Tender Notice
b) Instructions To Tenderers
c) Tender Form @ Form of Tender
d) Tender Acceptance Letter @ Letter of Acceptance
(L.A)
e) Conditions of Contract @ Conditions of Contract
(C.O.C)
f) Specifications
g) Preamble
h) Bill Of Quantity (BQ)
