4.2.3 Limited Tender

• Clients issue limited tenders to existing contractors in the
qualifying class stated in the offer statement (tender notice).

• Contractors registered with the C IDB who have an office in

the area or district where the project will be implemented shall

be invited to submit their tenders for building/engineering work
projects.

• If the number of local contractors is insufficient, a tender
invitation might be sent out to contractors in the surrounding

region, county, or state to participate in the tender.

• Limited tenders are typically uncommon projects that must be

completed quickly for the country's interest and security, rather
than due of agency weakness. This type of tender is used to

construct a tsunami warning centre. (Stesen penggera
tsunami).
